  1. Like good millennials, we love to see shows about the foreparents. We did not expect this show to pull us into the fray. We’re the puppies with pronouns at Black Eagle. After thoroughly enjoying the storytelling bringing us to Toronto, it was a new experience to be brought so personally into the art on stage. When Oh stares into the audience and thanks the new guard for keeping gender in the public conversation, we cried. We’ve never heard that spoken aloud from across the generations. We’re all in the same tapestry of queer resistance and diaspora. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Ronnie! The show is coming to the Toronto Fringe in July. Tell all the other Toronto pups.

  2. I saw this as part of International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival in May 2025.Great performance by David. Emotional, funny, camp, direct. Each stage of the characters life is distinct, both in problems faced and how they present to the world.

  3. Amazing performance, David did such a great job!!! The play it was lovely and I would highly recommend it!

  4. What a challenge for a one man show but was handled well and never boring. Well done to the writer and actor.

  5. I too read I Miss The War!!!! Thank you for your performance tonight. I related to so much, especially as a gay elder. I’m performing next week in the Dublin Gay festival and now see how you have raised the bar!
I hope our paths cross ….

  6. Beautifully done, both characters distinct and tangible, a lesson in storytelling that encompassed a variety of themes faced historically and to this day. Would highly recommend going to see it if you get the chance you won’t be disappointed
